DAY 1 ACCRA IN [ PREFERRABLY ON MONDAYS]
ARRIVAL IN ACCRA and transfer to Hotel with briefing on programs.
DAY 2 ACCRA – GEMI
We drive to Gemi mts through EWE land. We will visit the Museum which has most collections on Ewe traditions and everyday life. In the afternoon we will attend to a voodoo shrine at Xavi

DAY 3 GEMI – WLI – GEMI
After a short drive through the virgin forest of the Volta region, we will have a 45mn walk through the forest to get to the highest water fall of the region. We also allowed to also swim in the pool at the base of the fall.

DAY 4 GEMI - KROBOLAND
There will be a morning hike to the peak of the Gemi mt where Christian pilgrims , on Easter will climb for benediction and blessings.

DAY 5 KROBOLAND – ABURI - KROBOLAND
We will visit the Aburi botanical garden that was created by the British in the 19th century with trees coming from most places in the world

DAY 6 KROBOLAND –AKOSOMBO—KROBOLAND
The morning will be spent with the young Krobo initiates to learn how the are initiated and in the afternoon , we will visit the Akossombo dam.

DAY 7 & 8 KROBOLAND
Oral tradition has it that , one of the kings of the krobo, one day decided to dress up his daughter who he thought was still a VIRGIN in the Palace and present her to the public for any man who might be interested in marrying her. It turned out that the whole village appreciated the girl girls beauty that she was showered with gifts of all kinds that she became very rich to the point that all the men in the village wanted to marry her, that was the beginning of Girls initiation in the land . This practice done today not only in Ghana but also in Togo.
We will spend the 2 days here studying the Girls.

DAY 9 KROBOLAND – KUMASI
We will have a long drive to the Garden city of Kumasi with a stop visit to the shrine where a queen mother of Ejisu near Kumasi gathered strength and courage to fight the british in the Yaa Asantewa in 1900.

DAY 10 KUMASI
The political and spiritual capital of the Ashanti. Kumasi is said to be the end of the caravan route from Timbuktu where the Arab traders were exchanging their salt slabs from the salt mines in the Sahara for Gold , Cola nuts, Ivory, and Spices. We will visit the Royal palace museum, the cultural center museum amd the market which is situated in the valley in the heart of the garden city.

DAY 12 KUMASI – ANOMABU
We will drive today through the Cocoa, palm oil plantations which are the country’s main cash crops. We will stop at these to assist their processing.

DAY 13 ANOMABU – KAKUM
We will today visit the only Virgin forest West with a canopy walk which is 40metres high and 330m long with 7 bridges that makes very safe to walk on.
An afternoon relax on the beach.

DAY 14 ANOMABO – ELMINA – CAPECOAST—ANOMABU
The port of Elmina was one the first European settlements in West Africa .Elmina castle, the St. George de la mina built by the Portuguese in 1482, is the oldest and largest of the early European buildings. It is an imposing structure that was first used as a commercial base for the gold trade. The soldiers of the Dutch West Indies company captured the fort in 1637 and turned the Portuguese church in the forts interior into a slave market.[The history of West African slavery is inseparable from American history. Nearly 35million American have ancestors who were shipped from similar forts scattered along the coast fron Senegal to Cameroun.] The British bought out Dutch interest in the forts in 1872. In the afternoon we will also visit the Cape coast castle built by the British in 1664.

DAY 15 ANOMABO – ACCRA
Early morning departure for Accra. The African metropolis founded around 1200 by the GA population began trading with the Portuguese. In the following years the trade in gold and palm oil changed to slavery for guns and thus inviting the Danes, the Dutch and the British to the Coast. After slavery, the British established their Gold coast colony with its Capital at Accra in 1877. in the 20th century ,Accra thrived as a legitimate shipping port exporting Cocoa, Rubber, Gold, and Palm oil.
One of the interesting points to visit in Accra is the district of the Carpenters who make elaborate, colorful COFFINS in forms of AIRPLANES, FRUITS, FISH, BUILDINGS etc. Also interesting is the National Museum which houses interesting ethnographic, historical and art collections from all over the continent of Africa . Ceremonial objects like gilded umbrellas, carved royal stools, metal swords and intricately woven silk Kente cloth are on display.
Last shower and transfer to the airport for departure.
